Make it four straight wins for the red hot New Orleans Jesters.
Parish Simmons scored in the 15th minute and Emmanuel Yamson put the match away with a goal in the 83rd minute to lift New Orleans to a 2-0 win over the Nashville Metros at Ezell Park Stadium in Nashville Sunday night.
Fontainebleau's Andrew Tarbell had six saves in goal to post the shutout for the Jesters, now 5-2 on the season. Nashville had 12 shots on goal to eight for the Jesters. New Orleans had five corner kicks to two for the Metros. For Nashville, Jordan Werner had four saves but allowed the two goals.
The win was the second for New Orleans over the Metros in two weeks. The Jesters beat the Metros 3-2 at Pan American Stadium on June 3.
With the win, New Orleans now has 15 points, good for third in the Mid South Division of the Southern Conference of the Premier Development League. Laredo and Chivas El Paso each have 18 points to lead the division.
The Jesters return to action this Saturday evening against Chivas El Paso at 7 p.m. at Pan American Stadium. The Patriots beat the Jesters 3-1 at El Paso to open the season on May 19.
