The New Orleans Jesters open the 2013 season this weekend - Saturday, May 11th at 7 p.m. as they take on the Houston Hurricanes at Pan Am Stadium.
A few local standouts returning to the Jesters roster are: Andrew Tarbell from Mandeville and PJ Kee from New Orleans. Tarbell, who is also a Clemson University goalkeeper, will return for his third season with the Jesters. P.J. Kee, who was a Jesuit High School standout, returns after a 3-year absence to the Jesters.
"I have coached PJ since he was 15 years old," stated Coach Farrell. "Having moved back to the area from New York and now 29, PJ is ready to wear the Jesters jersey once again."
In addition to the opening of the 2013 season, the Jesters will recognize their recent partnership agreement with the Carrollton Boosters at the game. The Jesters are inviting all Carrollton Booster players under 13 (from all sports, not just soccer), to attend the game and obtain free admission by wearing a Carrollton Boosters team t-shirt. The U9 and U10 Jesters Elite players will play each other before the main game and the U8 Jesters Elite players will scrimmage each other in during halftime. There will also be a petting zoo at the stadium before the game (starting at 5:30 p.m.) which is generously being sponsored by Uptown Solar. It should be a lot of fun and a great evening out for everyone!
